momma bird, released on the 12th of March 2021. A fan favorite afro-influenced track.
This, self produced, mixed and mastered Alt-Afro/Afro-Pop tune is the second creative peace after my 'Music Reset.' The hard, swinging drums and heavy bass give it that Afro vibe. The hook is catchy, with a chill flow, followed by a sweet honest, meaningful verse that just wants you having more. This track is sure to get people singing along by the second hook.
I am in the process of finding my sound so new different things were tried, lyrically and instrumentally. The drums switch three times, giving any dancers out there three different rhythms to move their body to. If you're not a dancer like me, just follow the beat.
This song isn't particularly RnB, but it can be as toxic as the many toxic RnB songs out there. When you aren't strong enough to end a relationship that is clearly not good for you, you give that responsibility to someone else, but half the time they are in the same position as you. That's how toxic relationships relapse in my opinion. On a deeper note I can relate in two ways. The clear, transparent way is that, yeah, there was a girl and the whole verse is me talking to her. The second layer is kept close to me.
I'd love any opinions and thoughts on it. I hope you enjoy my creation.
