AESTHETIC

Aesthetic, a self-alienating, but self-loving, ego boost of a track. 

The instrumental was produced by myself, with an original guitar melody that I sampled, (chopped, reversed and sped up) to create the surreal sound you hear. If it was to be described by a child, it would be cool but pretty. I don't generally make drill beats for myself, and that was the case for this instrumental. This was meant to be for sale, but after performing Aesthetic with the instrumental at Redline in Tallaght, in October w/ many other talented artists, such as Sello, it was decided. The crowd gave it a lot of love, and my manager, Anna Laksa, knew that it should be recorded and set for release.

The drums, energy, and the melody may possibly be the only components that allow this track to be proclaimed as drill. The catchy, Twitter worthy lyrics, grungy mix on the vocals, and overall feel, make this track different, and unconventional. The lyrics may come off as cocky and conceited in the verse, although, depending on the perspective you take, the hook seems to harbour self alienating tendencies. Masked with the high energy, and explosive drums, this track is for the people, to get moving, enjoy themselves, and of course get sturdy.
