Introducing our newly developed checklists for effectively promoting the GuardMe Student Support Program (GMSSP) within your educational community. These checklists have been thoughtfully designed to offer you a structured method for spreading awareness of GMSSP, aiming to guarantee that every student can tap into the resources and support essential for a more positive and enriched educational journey.
All of the messaging and assets for this orientation checklist can be found under Orientation in our asset repository.
Pre-orientation email: Students
Did you know students can access GMSSP before they start their studies? We can help if they are feeling anxious/excited about their new student journey. We find students start engaging with GMSSP up to 6 weeks prior to their studies commencing.
Reminder email: Returning students
After the summer or winter break, it's a great time to remind all students that GMSSP is a service that is available to them.
Reminder email: Staff and faculty
Sending staff a reminder about the service is just as important as students, as staff are a great resource for signposting students who may need additional support and promoting the overall program.
Engagement games
Incentivizing students to download and register in the app with competitions during orientation week works well to boost sign-ups. This means that even if students don't feel like they are in need of support now, they have GMSSP at their fingertips when they need it if things start to feel more challenging.
Tip sheets
The tip sheets from GMSSP offer invaluable guidance for academic achievement, effective time management, utilizing resources, setting goals, and maintaining a healthy sleep schedule, complemented by the supportive student support app. These sheets can be effectively utilized by printing them for distribution at student tabling events or by placing them online, making them easily accessible to students for online sharing and enhancing their academic journey.
