Teachers entering students in the March 26 General Recital should review the recital guidelines on page 6 of the GMMTA Yearbook (see clarifications to these guidelines below),
Please email Andre Duvall with the following information no later than Friday, March 17:
Name of student
Name of piece (limit one piece per student)
Specify instrument name or voice
Composer name and birth/death dates
Approximate length of piece
Clarifications to the yearbook's recital guidelines for the March 26 recital:
In order to allow time for multiple teachers to enter students, entries are limited to 5 minutes of combined performance time per teacher, per instrument. For example, if you teach piano and violin, you may enter up to 5 minutes of piano music and up to 5 minutes of violin music. Once the deadline for entries has passed, if additional time is still available, I'll reach back out to teachers who have registered and offer additional time slots.
The memorization requirement will not apply to organ pieces, in keeping with traditional standards of AGO members' recitals, pre-collegiate organ events, etc.
