On behalf of the GMI (Generative Music Informatics) Group, we are pleased to invite you to the Music Informatics Workshop 2026 in Taipei.
The group usually organizes domestic workshops in Japan, but this year we are planning an international workshop in Taipei. We hope this workshop will provide a valuable opportunity for Taiwanese and Japanese researchers and students to interact and exchange ideas. We look forward to welcoming many participants.
This workshop is jointly held by GMI Group and Instituite of Information Science, Academia Sinica.
Dates: August 4--5, 2026
(Depending on the number of presentations, the session may be shortened to one day.)

We welcome presentation proposals related to music informatics. Please submit an abstract.
All topics related to music informatics (including analysis, generation, modeling, recognition, retrieval, and interactive systems) are welcome.
Work that has been presented elsewhere is also welcome.
Discussions of ongoing research are also welcome.
The standard presentation format is a 15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. However, the format may be adjusted flexibly depending on the number of presentations.
Full papers are not required.
