The war between Russia and the Ukraine will be our first case study and one that affects the lives of millions of people daily. It has obvious (hopefully) links to the key concepts of human rights as well as the concepts of sovereignty, justice, liberty and equality and above all power. The Russia-Ukraine War also provides the perfect opportunity to incorporate the IB Global Politics Levels of Analysis; looking at the issue from a regional, national, international and global perspective.
