This case study looks at the new Great Renaissance Dam being built on the Nile River by Ethiopia. This has caused dispute with Ethiopia’s neighbours Egypt and Sudan over the region’s most precious resource: water. The key concepts that we will focus on include power, sovereignty, development, interdependence, equality and human rights.
