Hi! I’ve been an elementary teacher for over 20 years, and I still absolutely love what I do. Helping kids become curious thinkers, creative problem solvers, and enthusiastic learners is what keeps me going. I’m especially passionate about science and literacy—two areas where kids can really explore, question, and grow.
Lately, I’ve been diving into climate education, which has opened up a whole new chapter in my teaching. I received a Fulbright Distinguished Teacher Award, which gave me the opportunity to travel to Finland and work with Fulbright Finland Foundation and the University of Helsinki. My research there focused on "Empowering Hope and Action: Sustainability Education Tools for the Primary Classroom." It was an amazing experience that’s inspired so many new ideas in my teaching.
