For the perfect base in Skiathos, stay near the Old Port or Megali Ammos. These areas are close to the beach, restaurants, and nightlife, while still offering a relaxing island vibe! Boutique hotels and cozy villas are plentiful, with many offering sea views and easy access to the bus line that runs along the island.

For incredible food, head to Marmita in Skiathos Town for creative Greek dishes in a charming garden setting. Amfiliki is a must for sunset dinners with a sea view, serving traditional favorites. For a casual bite, stop by Bakaliko for meze and local wine—perfect after a day of exploring.

Skiathos is full of beautiful beaches and hidden gems. Visit the iconic Lalaria Beach, hike up to the old fortress of Kastro, and spend a day relaxing at Koukounaries. 

For a full island experience, rent a quad from Aegean Car Rentals—it’s the best way to explore remote spots, take in panoramic views, and reach untouched beaches you can’t get to by bus. Each quads come with storage on the back, perfect to fit your towel, backpack, and whatever else you need for the day. 

Be sure to get an international license, in my experience, some places have not asked for it, but its better to be safe and get one! You can get one at AAA, you don't have to be a member to get one!
