Is Solar Activity to blame?
The sun sends energy to planet Earth, warming the planet and creating ideal conditions to sustain life. It seems almost reasonable to believe that changes in the sun's solar output could be responsible for global warming.
However, recent studies have shown that solar output has actually declined over the past few decades. Furthermore, solar energy warms the upper layer of Earth's atmosphere, which actually appears to be cooling, while the lower atmosphere appears to be warming, pointing the finger at greenhouse gases.
Ultimately, it seems that the sun isn't responsible for the drastic increase in global surface temperature.
