Christianity, particularly in Tamil Nadu, has a strong connection with the life of Mother Mary, and devotion to the Rosary comes very naturally to the faithful in this part of the world. In most of the parish communities, special novena and Rosary prayer are well organized during the month of May. In Melakovilpatti, a parish run by CSC confreres, a special novena was conducted in which the mysteries of the Rosary was explained to the faithful. We blessed the flag of Mother Mary, had a procession and hoisted the flag, and concluded with meaningful Eucharist. People were very spontaneous in praying Rosary, and their faith in their beloved Mother was once again strengthened.
