Freedom is a state of being free, of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Many are physically free, but their hearts are imprisoned by different vices from the enemy. Also, some are in a physical prison, but their heart is experiencing freedom through Christ, who sets us free. In one of our recent retreats in the Prison that happened from Nov 10-13,2022, we were able to help the inmates pray and allow Christ to enter their hearts which is their home. Holy Mass, Adoration, prayers, reciting the rosary, Confession, and teaching and s on God’s love and forgiveness were all ways to let Christ into their heart. I came so that you may have life and life in abundance John 10:10; when we realize that Jesus turns the ordinary to become extraordinary, then we have the obligation to open our hearts to Him. When we learn to open wide the doors of our home to Christ, we get more graces to open even wider for other vulnerable families that need our help. Therefore, through their testimonies, it’s an assurance that Christ dwelled in their hearts and became a channel of love and light in prison.
