The truth is that Christmas 2021 drew inspiration from the wellspring of three words from the Bible 1 Corinthians 13 to life: "Love Bears All." And, what better phrase to describe this time of adversity and loss that was met by prayer from every corner of this global community in faith. A group of praying Catholics that for over 18 months came together as a group, to engage as a ministry and to grow as a global prayer community.
At times it seems to us that the onslaughts of COVID-19, climate change and conflict have been drawn back by the prayers and supplications of the HCFM PrayFest community. Our ‘Amens' resonated in over 15 languages across 4 continents creating swathes of relief in the midst of the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic did bring families and communities to the comforting knowledge of our Venerable Peyton’s sayings: ‘The family that prays together stays together’ and ‘A world at prayer is a world at peace.’
The PrayFest posts of over a year now stand testament to the Holy Masses, the Rosaries and myriad other pray events that have transformed the lives of our prayer community. Fighting past the reality of living with COVID-19, overcoming challenges and bringing everyone together as one praying community believing in the healing and renewal of our world.
As we look to the New Year 2022, we at HCFM PrayFest on the Familheey app are inspired by the resonant theme of ‘Love Bears All’. So, in the words of I Corinthians 13:7, wherever we are in the world, we say together: Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
