Leading with Prayer: Seeds of Wisdom from our Branches
France
For More than 25 years, Family Rosary France has been present in Europe specifically in Ireland and France. In France we are at Lourdes shrine continuing to water the seed of prayer among those coming to our Lady counting the Beads. We arrived with the floods of 2013 to set up a temporary base in the Lourdes as our center, it has been an apostolate that included both the multi-media work on the Luminous Mysteries carried out for the Madrid WYD and a street apostolate. which the participating volunteers still cherish so profoundly.
An initial experience at the sanctuary opened the way for our first temporary, then increasingly permanent installation at the Chapel and enabled us to move from a home-made setup to a professional one, thanks to the advice of technical services and the acquisition of four outdoor cinema projectors. Prayer has been at the forefront of all these efforts and our team members, for instance Anne-Rose enunciates all this with great enthusiasm.
As for the earlier experience before Covid19, Family Rosary had facilitated to have a place to discover the Rosary for the growing number of visitors who knew nothing about this type of prayer as a seed of wisdom from our Branches.
Our re-opening will be a time of rediscovery for those who seek further to grow more in leading with Prayer. It is also in the spirit of St. John Paul II, in his letter on the Rosary: He states that “The Rosary is a school of meditation on the Word of God with the heart and eyes of Mary”. Our closeness to the Grotto has opened our eyes to deepen the Spirit of Praying the Rosary in reflectively. The Shrine has always invited Family Rosary to lead the Luminous Mysteries and this also to be done through multimedia. Conclusively our moments of sharing is one that brings about a clear understanding that our mission is simply impossible with leading with Prayer. Finally, efforts have been made to print and make available Prayer materials in different languages, all to strengthen the seed of wisdom in prayer as well as presenting the life of Father Patrick Peyton and his inspirational messages on prayer.
A world at prayer is a world at peace
The family that prays together stays together
