It's summer in the Philippines! Our beautiful resorts & beaches are beckoning but restrictions and ongoing online classes are keeping families homebound. In FRC's Church Alive episode entitled “Summer Fun with the Fam” the Padilla and Luna families shared creative ways to engage and entertain their kids and create bonding moments for the family. The Lunas and their six boys enjoy biking daily, staging mini-concerts at home, and camping in their backyard. As a family, they also prepare food packs for donation to charity. 

The Padillas enjoy making YouTube and TikTok videos of their family cooking, staging fashion shows, or just goofing around. Parents Xavy and Des also involve their kids in prayer time by assigning each child to lead a decade of the Rosary. Though both families must skip this year’s beach trips, they have loads of fun at home. They learned that it really isn't about where you are but who you’re with that generates joy and warmth in a loving, prayerful home.
