Here's MY tutorial for students beginning to use Classroom. This video INCLUDES updates from Google - Stream, Classwork & People Tabs in use.
I use Classroom to run training so my participants can see directly in front of them the "student" view and on the screen the "teacher" view.
I cannot say enough about Google Classroom. I experimented with it on my own and then piloted with a small but willing class of 7th graders. They liked being guinea pigs and I liked the low key, low stress opportunity to figure things out. Making assignments, attaching documents and videos, and creating a digital classroom space were all easy and intuitive.

What Students Are Saying:
What was the most useful Google App we used and why?
Classroom because I could use it anywhere and see my assignments.
Classroom because it made turning in work and communication easier.
Classroom because it kept all of my classes organized and I could get to assignments faster and easier.
Classroom because it holds our work with instructions.
Classroom because it organizes my classwork for each class and lets me know when every thing is due.
Classroom because it made it easier to see what we need to do. It was also good because it helped me feedback with what I need to work on.
