- Scientific advisor and co-founder of the CETU Iliad3 (a self-financed structure for research transfer, see all details in French: iliad3.univ-tours.fr,or see a summary in English)
- Adjunct secretary of the EGC society (French Data Mining society)
- Co-editor in chief of the French New IT Journal (RNTI)
- I'm at the head of several research projects or work-packages (see my Current Research)
- Reviewer of research projects + participation to 100+ PhD committees
- Erasmus coordinator in my teaching Department (all students must travel abroad for 12 weeks)
- Each year I participate to several recruitment/expertise commissions,

- Member of the CNU 27 national commission (2015 - 2019)
- Vice-President of the EGC society (French Data Mining society)
- President of the French Data Mining society (EGC)
- President of the French-speaking Classification Society (SFC)
- Director of the Doctoral School ED SST 102 (300+ PhD students). Previously I was co-director of this school, etc
- Director of the Computer Science Master Degree (DEA and then M2R). I was also co-director of other MSc degrees.
- Expertise for various institutions (French Ministery of Education, ANR, CIR, ANRT, and other private institutions or companies)
- Member of the PES national commission
- Creator and head of the FOVEA research team
- Co-creator and co-animator of the GT-VIF working group on Dataviz and visual data mining (common to the French Data mining + Human-computer Interaction societies)
