21st Century - Ultimate Soldier - WW2 U.S. Navy Corpsman
During WW2 in the Pacific Theatre of the war, injured U.S. Marines were treated in the field by medically trained U.S. Navy Serviceman called Corpsman.
These "Devil Docs" fought side by side with the U.S. Marines. They eventually would abandon wearing the red cross insignia on their helmets or on a brassard because the enemy would violate the Geneva Convention rules of war and deliberately attempt to kill medical personnel.
