Lifeline (version 1), was released on a bubble card as part of the fifth series in 1986. He was also available in 1987 and was discontinued in 1988.
Lifeline is a Rescue Trooper and came with a silver handgun, a silver tech backpack with antenna, a white hinged RESCUE medical case with a hole for the black hose and air mask.
In 1988 Tiger Force Lifeline (version 2), came with a black handgun, a black tech backpack with antenna, a green hinged RESCUE medical case with a hole for hose and black air mask.
Lifeline (version 3), was was released in a sealed bag as part of the tenth series (1991). On specially marked packages of Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal, an offer was available to receive Lifeline via mail-order. The original Lifeline has a black pistol and holster molded to his right thigh.
Kellogg's didn't want their mail-in offer action figure to have any weapons, so the legs from Frostbite (1985) were repainted and substituted.This version came with a silver tech backpack with antenna, a white RESCUE medical case, without a black air mask, pistol or a file card.
Edward "Lifeline" Steen, (version 7), was released on a bubble card as part of the Twenty Seventh series, in the fourth wave of figures for the 30th Anniversary line (2011). This version came with a removable red and white para-helmet, two red knee pads, a black rifle, a black pistol, a black syringe, a black and silver knife, a red and white medic pack, a blue oxygen tank with clear oxygen mask, two white shock paddles, a clear IV bag module, a clear IV tube, a red trauma board, a white strap for the board, and a black display stand.
