The first post office was established on June 15, 1855 when the railroad created the train depot. A small wooden railroad storage building at 200 Railroad Ave ( now a home) was a post office until 1887. It was also at 207 E Main Street (Masonic bldg.) until 1920, then to 130 Main Street. It moved to its current location at 221 E Main Street in 1963.
