Cummings- Wagoner House

Cummings-Wagoner House

303 Springwood Church Road

This is the oldest house in Gibsonville. Part of this house was built by John Cummings and moved to this site in the early 1850’s to house the slaves owned by Joseph Gibson who were grading the road bed for the NC Railroad. Jacob Wagoner expanded this house to its current size in 1917. John Cumming’s son Doctor Thomas Cummings provided the land for the town greens which were used to hold livestock being shipped from the new Gibsonville depot.
