The Gibsonville train depot was demolished on April 6, 1967. This image shows the depot and greens in the early 1920s. Note that the streets are not paved and the cow on the grass. The Southern Railroad red caboose X578 now sits on the site of the train depot which closed in 1962. The caboose is a visitor welcome center with historic information.
