Political Ecology was among my favorite courses from my time in Hutchins. We explored topics such as environmental exploitation, consumerism, political propaganda, and the concept of nature. I was intrigued by our weekly readings, all of which helped build my interest in environmental politics.
I went on to pursue a minor in political science and enrolled in an Environmental Political Theory course, the most interesting of my education thus far. Without the guidance (and harsh, harsh writing critiques) of Professor Justine Law, I wouldn't have been able to explore my passion for creating a healthy environment for my community. Below, I included my favorite pieces from this course.
