We are the Biodiversity Change group,  we conduct scientific research in biodiversity, ecology and environmental biology. Our aim is to understand the causes, mechanisms, and consequences of biodiversity change. We study the impact of environmental change on ecological networks, ecological processes and ecosystem functions with a special focus on species coexistence and mutualism. Affiliated with University of Lausanne and University of Milan, we work in a broad range of systems, from glacier environments to Mediterranean agroecosystems, integrating theory with experiments and models. Paying particular attention to human–environment interactions, our ultimate goal is to support people and societies developing sustainable solutions for the ecological crisis we are facing.
