This course was an eye opener, as using the varying Computer Assisted Translation Tools showed me that even machines interpreting the same text can vary, and in sometimes fail to give an accurate translation. Our reliance on these tools is as the title suggest an assistant. It in the end can not be the only option for translating as often than not a machine may not understand cultural references, idioms or other such semantics that humans understand.

Using Google site at first seemed like a daunting task, but as I became familiar with the various tools available I could get through projects a little more efficiently. The first few projects seemed to take a lot of my time for something simple, but as time went on it was easier to use. The innovative activities in Moodle along side with content in the class added to the knowledge gained through this course. 

When analiyzing the projects that were given the optional project which was translating Shakespeare really stuck out to me as I had never read or been exposed to Shakespeare in Spanish, and it still surprises me how much easier it is to read in Spanish than in English. The most difficult of course was the Legal translation with its more complex language and the importance of accuarte translation as these documents hold much more weight when being translated, than say for example a simple novel.
