In this section, I'd like to focus on the relationship between Chris and his girlfriend, Rose. From the start of the movie, viewers are introduced to the interracial relationship between the main leads. They are shown as the bright, problem-free couple who just wants to live a happy life together forever. In the first half of the movie, we can see that Rose Armitage loves her boyfriend endlessly. She could not tolerate anyone who is racist towards Chris. Even the slightest bit of racism shown will be disastrous. However, not all love stories have happy endings. Unfortunately, at one point, Chris finds out that everything between them was just a lie. Turns out that Rose was also conspiring with her family and just used Chris for her family's business. By then, everything between them went downhill. From hugs and kisses to swearing and hurting. This situation is realistic as it also happens in real life. Love and betrayal is not new, but it still shocks and hurts people to the core.
