Book: Learning in the Making

ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) published a book on maker education that I wrote that was released at the end of August, 2019. The writing, rewriting, and editing process took over two years to complete. A lot of ideas, inspiration and resources for the book came through social media, specifically from the Twitter hashtags of #makered, #makermovement, and #STEM as well as from the ASCD editors. The book contains close to 100 academic references and resources found through online searches. The benefits for me, personally, in writing this book is first, I learned an incredible amount about the many aspects of maker education, and second, it assisted me in being able to more clearly articulate to others these many aspects of maker education.
