Course Title: MUGE 108 e-Commerce for Entrepreneurs
Credits: 2(2-0-4)
Literacy: Finance and Management Literacy
Course Goals: This course will provide an overview of the e-commerce industry, with a focus on how entrepreneurs can use online platforms to start and grow their businesses. Students will learn about the different types of e-commerce models, how to develop an e-commerce strategy, and how to implement and optimize e-commerce operations.
Course Description: Concept of doing business online, techniques for successful online business, writing a business plan and marketing plan for online businesses, laws and ethics for online entrepreneurs, sales and service techniques, ways to grow and succeed in online businesses, building a brand and doing online marketing, data analysis and related technologies.
Course Objectives:
To introduce students to the e-commerce industry and its potential for entrepreneurship
To help students develop a comprehensive e-commerce strategy for their business
To provide students with the skills necessary to implement and optimize e-commerce operations
Course-level Learning Outcomes:
CLO1 Explain the concept of doing business online, creating a brand, and online marketing
CLO2 Analyze the market and select marketing strategies for online store owners in specific situations
CLO3 Write and present their own business plan using a business model canvas
CLO4 Apply simple online marketing tools and technologies such as live streaming, content creation, and influencer marketing to communicate their brand and business
CLO5 Access and summarize information from credible sources about being an online store entrepreneur
The course includes two modules as follows:
MODULE 1 E-learning
Students must complete 2 courses of Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate courses on Coursera:
"Coursera for MU" invitation emails will be sent individually to students' .ac.th emails after the add/drop period.
Course starts: January 21, 2026
Course ends: April 30, 2026
Note: No Manual Submission of Certification Required
You do not need to manually submit your course certificates after completing the assigned Coursera course. Your learning progress and results will automatically be reflected in the course admin's report once you've completed the courses.
Please make sure to complete the courses on time and follow all the requirements set by Coursera to ensure your results are properly recorded.
MODULE 2 Share & Learn
Students must take the Business Model Canvas course on Coursera Project Network (1hr) and develop a BMC to present their e-Commerce business idea.
Task: Peer Review and E-commerce Application The goal of this task is to facilitate peer-to-peer feedback and demonstrate your understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the e-commerce landscape.
Submission: Post your completed Business Model Canvas (BMC) to the platform.
Peer Review Requirement: Select and review the business ideas of a minimum of two different classmates.
Comment Criteria: Your feedback must be substantive, constructive, and clearly articulate your perspective as an e-commerce entrepreneur.
