Lead Developer | Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints)
ChromaPutt is a physics-based arcade mini-golf prototype inspired by classic mini-golf adventure titles. The project began as a recreation exercise to understand core mechanics such as ball physics, stroke systems, hazard design, and level flow.
I designed and implemented core gameplay systems including charge-based shot mechanics, wind direction mechanics, moving hazards, win/lose conditions, and progressive course difficulty using an Introduction–Practice–Mastery structure.
The project is currently in an expandable prototype phase, with plans to rebrand and evolve the concept into a more distinct IP featuring expanded mechanics, stronger visual identity, and advanced level progression systems.
Key Systems Implemented
• Charge-based shot mechanic
• Wind direction gameplay system
• Moving hazard obstacles
• Win / Lose game states
• Progressive course difficulty (IPM structure)
• Blueprint gameplay scripting in Unreal Engine 5
Design Focus
• Designing courses that encourage shot planning and angle control
• Using hazards to create risk vs reward gameplay decisions
• Teaching mechanics through an Introduction–Practice–Mastery structure
• Building readable layouts so players understand the challenge quickly
