PROFESSIONALISM
Teaching is a process where learners, teachers, parents and the entire community learn from each other. New strategies, ideas, and philosophies are acquired over a period of time. My philosophy on education may also change and that is ok. That simply means that I have grown and learnt new things. John Hattie (2012) observes that globally, fundamental changes in education systems have important implications for curriculum reform. Learners need to be able to think about and solve problems, work in teams, communicate through discussions, take initiatives and bring diverse perspectives to their learning. In addition, students need to learn more, yet they have little time available to learn it (Lee and Zemke,1995). Learners also need to demonstrate the impact of the achievement of national goals of education.
