Post-Impressionism and Space
2nd-4th Gr, 5th Gr. 8th Period
Project Details: Students learned about the artist Henri-Rousseau and Post-Impressionism. They were inspired by two of Rousseau's paintings: Tiger Riding Ukulele Man (4th/5th) shown above on the left, and "The Flamingos" (2nd/3rd) shown above on the right. They also incorporated the art element of space. They showed positive and negative space by making tiger and water lily art!
