Debasish Ghose joined the faculty of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science in 1990 as a lecturer (1990-1993) and continued as an assistant professor (1993-1997), associate professor (1997-2003), and professor (2003 - ). In 2023 he moved to the Robert Bosch Center for Cyber-physical Systems at the Indian Institute of Science while continuing to be an associate faculty at the Department of Aerospace Engineering. He has held various visiting positions such as at the University of California at Los Angeles, the University of Leicester, and the University of Exeter in the UK. He is a fellow of INAE, NASI, and INSA and an associate fellow of AIAA.

[5 July 2024] The paper "Dynamic Aerial Coverage of Stationary and Moving Structures Using Lissajous Curves" by Syradeep Nath and Debasish Ghose was accepted in the AIAA Journal on Guidance, Control, and Dynamics.
[June 2024] Three of our lab members traveled to different parts of the world to present their work at various conferences: Meenakshi Sarkar to CVPR in Seattle, Washington, USA (17-21 June), Suryadeep Nath to ICCA in Reykjavik, Iceland (18-21 June), and Ishfaq Zahoor Bhat to ECC in Stockholm, Sweden (25-28 June).
[10 June 2024] The paper "Formation Control for Tracking Non-Cooperative Space Objects" by Ishfaq Zahoor Bhat and Debasish Ghose, was accepted in IEEE Space Aerospace and Defence Conference (SPACE 2024), Bengaluru, India, July 2024.
[27 May 2024] The paper "On The Loop Demand Aware Robot Scheduling: A Mixed Reality based User Study" by Ajay Kumar Sandula, Rajatsurya M, Debasish Ghose, and Pradipta Biswas, was accepted at the 33rd IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (ROMAN), Pasadena, California, August 2024.
[17 May 2024] The paper "Deployment of multiple satellites on collision-free orbital trajectories for planetary exploration" by Animesh Chakravarthy and Debasish Ghose, was accepted in AAS/AIAA Astrodynamics Specialist Conference (ASC'2024), in Bloomfield, Colorado, August 2024.
[11 May 2024] Suryadeep Nath's video on "Aerial Coverage Strategies Using Lissajous Curves" won the 2nd Prize in the "3-Minute Research Video Contest" under the Division of Mechanical Sciences Research Symposium 2024, Indian Institute of Science.
[3 May 2024] Samiksha Nagrare obtained a drone piloting license for the European region for A1/A3 (open category for low-level altitudes).
[3 May 2024] The paper "Cooperative Mission Planning Using Rollout Policy Optimisation" by Sina Hajkarim, Prathyush P Menon, and Debasish Ghose was accepted in AIAA Journal of Aerospace Information Systems.
[24 April 2024] Meenakshi Sarkar was awarded a travel fellowship by the organizers of WiCV/CVPR to attend CVPR in Seattle, Washington, to be held in June 2024.
[23 April 2024] Nobin Paul was awarded the PhD degree of the Indian Institute of Science for his thesis "Longitudinal Acceleration-based Variable Speed Bio-inspired Guidance Law".

[10 January 2024] Suryadeep Nath was a finalist in the student paper contest (AIAA GNC Graduate Student Paper Competition) at the AIAA SciTech Forum and presented his paper in a special session.
