Welcome to the 2026–27 Swim Buddies Season!

Kia ora Swim Buddies,

The online registration system we introduced last year worked so well to reduce paper admin and make roster coordination easier for everyone that we're doing it again.

Online registration is simple, with everything you need, including payment details and the Keyholder Agreement, available through our registration process.

Can you help keep the pool open this summer?

A huge thank you to the volunteers who have already offered to help again this season. Thanks to them, we have enough volunteers to cover the first half of the season, but we still need more people to join the team and share the load.

We're particularly looking for regular opening and closing volunteers for the second half of the season, from 11 January to 9 April 2027, as well as backup volunteers.

Priority keys will go to returning keyholders who register and can help with a regular weekly opening or closing commitment. New volunteers are very welcome too!

If you'd like to become a keyholder this summer, please complete our online registration Form.

The Form collects your contact details, confirms that you've read and agreed to the Keyholder Agreement and Conditions of Use, and helps us organise the volunteer roster.

Keyholder details

• Season: Monday 12 October 2026 to Friday 9 April 2027.

• Fees:

  • Individual: $180  - For one named adult keyholder only. If a partner or another adult will use or share the key, you need a Family key. 

  • Family: $200 -  For one family household (2nd adult must also sign the agreement)

• Key: One key for the full season, with no planned maintenance interruption.

After registering, you’ll receive an email with a copy of your completed registration, including the payment details and key collection arrangements.

Keys are limited. A key can only be issued once payment has been received and all required agreements are complete.

PLEASE NOTE: If two adults will use or share a family key, both adults must complete their own agreement before the key can be allocated.

The first adult completes the main online registration. The second adult then opens the same Form and selects “Second-adult signature / agreement”. This is their digital signature—there is no need to print or sign the PDF.

Key collection

Keys must be collected from Swim Buddies volunteers at the school library sessions. This season the dates are:

• Saturday 3 October, 4:00–5:00 pm

• Wednesday 7 October, 5:30–6:30 pm

• Sunday 11 October, 2:00–3:00 pm

If you are unable to make any of these sessions, keys may be collected BY ARRANGEMENT ONLY from the school office during school hours.

Any registered keys not collected and not paid for by the end of the last library session will be cancelled and reallocated.

Safety

Please read and understand the Keyholder Agreement and Conditions of Use before registering, and familiarise yourself with the swimming hours on our Pool Timetable page.

There is no lifeguard on duty. The biggest rule is never swim alone.
