Overview
In this most extreme concept, we don't make any changes to the CV or DMAI. Instead, we require viewers of the CV to go through a dramatic empathy-building exercise. The app, called Empathy Builder™ takes over your machine, locks you out when the candidate is busy with other tasks, sends you email messages, and even butts in on zoom calls. These features aim to portray the lived realities of a candidate to contextualize their experience.
Big Ideas
A mandated empath-building experience takes over your computer and forces reviewers to live a day in the shoes of someone else.
Lock-out periods that mirror the schedule of the candidate
Conversations via email messages and zoom calls mimic the experience of the candidate.

More information about features
Once initiated, the app will calibrate to the experiences of a unique intersectional identity.
To get a sense of the candidate's schedule, you will be required to abide by their commitments. Want to work first thing in the morning? Too bad...that's not an option for Tyler.
Some people interact differently with different intersectional groups. Get a glimpse of how students and colleagues talk to (and request the time of) the candidate. These emails will be sent to you throughout the day at a representative frequency.
Women and minorities are more likely to be interrupted or have their ideas invalidated. Our built-in Zoombot will exhibit this behavior towards you throughout the day's meetings.
