QA Lead at Certain Affinity Inc.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to direct testing on one of our project teams. As a critical member of this team, the QA Lead will be in charge of managing the day to day test operations. This involves working extensively with team and studio leads as well as external partners to ensure CA games maintain a high-quality bar throughout development and release.

Responsibilities

Work closely with project leadership to assess development plans and identify test coverage needs
Manage project database, workflow, bug entry and regression
Lead functional and qualitative testing by clearly defining required test plans and test criteria across multiple test area teams
Create and supervise QA assignments and provide status reports to leadership
Cultivate training initiatives to increase test efficiency and capacity
Coordinate and maintain communication with external partners
Identify project-level risks, determine solutions and collaborate on a resolution
Identify and communicate bug trends. Report findings and adjust coverage accordingly
Develop new or enhanced test practices and tools to streamline test efforts
Assist project leads with development tasks ranging from marketing videos to low-level design implementation

Qualifications

More than five years of quality assurance experience with proven leadership capabilities
Worked on two or more AAA games from start to finish in a Lead or Management role
Excellent leadership and practical communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to simplify and resolve issues quickly
Database workflow and management experience. Proficient with databases such as (JIRA, TTP or others)
Trustworthy people and time management skills with emphasis on prioritization, multi-tasking, personnel issue resolution, and performance growth
Ability to address situations from a project impact perspective
Waterfall and Agile development experience
Ability to effectively communicate ideas and finding across disciplines and multiple levels of management
