Final Level Blockout
Zone Explain
Zone1: The player starts in this room, which is also the main character’s own bedroom. Therefore, the overall atmosphere of the room is intended to feel warmer and more cozy. The puzzle will be easy and no special mechanics.
Zone2: hallway. No one would pay attention to where they are passing by, so this place has no decoration. The overall atmosphere should emphasize a sense of coldness and lifelessness. The puzzle has no special mechanics.
Zone3: Parents’ Bedroom. It is located in a place with plenty of sunlight, but it is also a frequent site of “incidents.” To be precise, it was often where, as a child, you would get caught and punished for skipping piano practice under the excuse of going to the bathroom. Sometimes it was also for secretly playing on the computer. In short, the overall atmosphere here should feel more eerie and unsettling. The puzzle may be time-limited or attempt-limited.
Zone4: Living Room. Later, the computer was moved here, but at that time the television was more appealing. Therefore, the atmosphere in this space should feel more dreamy and imaginative. The puzzle may be solved through drag-and-drop or by drawing the words.
Zone5: Dining Room. The mother is an excellent cook and often prepared many delicious dishes. The overall design of this space should therefore feel more appetizing and cozy. The puzzle may involve memorizing dish names and revealing the matching cards.
Zone6: Kitchen. I often went in while my mother was cooking, and it was always bustling with heat. In summer, it could even feel like a sauna. Therefore, the atmosphere here will lean toward something resembling magma or a volcanic environment. The puzzle is solved by adjusting different knobs to control the stove’s temperature in order to help the mother complete the dish.
