This particular planet was discovered by a 17 year old high school student, Wolf Cukier, who was only 3 days into his NASA internship and discovered TOI-1338b. TOI- 1338b is one of the first circumbinary planets discovered by TESS (transiting exoplanet survey satellite) circumbinary meaning that it orbits more than one star, just like the Fictional home of Luke Skywalker in Star wars who lived on a circumbinary planet 'Tatooine'. This also creates a fantastic view, 2 sunsets and 2 sunrises, although humans would most likely not be able to inhabit it since it is not located in the circumstellar Habitable zone (also known as habitable zone or goldilocks zone)and it's immense size, about 6.9 x earth, this meaning that it is almost the size Jupiter. TOI- 1338b is the only planet in the TOI- 1338b system located 1,300 light-years away in the constellation Pictor, and orbits its stars every 95 days. The two stars orbit each other every 15 days. One of its stars is about only 10 percent bigger than our Sun, while the other is cooler, dimmer and only one-third the Sun's mass.
