Discovered by the Kepler Space Telescope in 2015, Kepler-452b is a planet identified as a Super Earth. The planet's radius is 1.63 times that of Earth. On the other hand, Kepler 452b's mass is 3.29 earths and was detected by the transit method. It orbits its host star at an orbital radius of 1.046 AU. Kepler 452b is the first near Earth sized planet to be found in the habitable zone of a star at a similar distance of the Earth to the Sun and at the same/similar temperature as our host star; the sun. It takes 385 days to orbit its host star.
