Classical Vocal

The Syllabus for the courses have been harmonised with the Curriculum for the Karnataka Secondary Education Board Examination & Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. The 5 Year Diploma Course is slightly above the junior level and the 10 year Diploma Course is at the Senior level in these examinations. The syllabus for various courses / disciplines is given in the Prospectus which will be given at the time of admission

GMS Carnatic Classical Syllabus is created by considering, following Music exams

• CBSE Class IX and X (Music Syllabus)

• ICSE Class XI and XII (Music Syllabus)

• Junior Grade (KSEEB Carantic Syllabus)

• Senior Grade (KSEEB Carantic Syllabus)

GMS Tabla Syllabus is created by considering, following Music exams

• CBSE Class IX and X (Music Syllabus)

• ICSE Class XI and XII (Music Syllabus)

• Junior Grade (Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Syllabus)

The Course of instruction for Carnatic Classical Music is structured into:

• Three Year Foundation course leading to a Certificate.

• Five Year Diploma Course (that is 2 years after the 3 - year Foundation Course or equivalent). Students need to attend Junior Grade KSEEB Exams.

• Ten Year Diploma Course (that is 5 years after the 5 - year Diploma Course or equivalent). Students need to attend Senior Grade KSEEB Exams.
