The research project focused on Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs) as an innovative technology. The research investigated Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs) through multiple aspects, which included their definition and operational mechanisms and their significance and projected influence on daily life during the next decade. The PowerPoint presentation included basic slides with images and notes and an advanced feature and academic research from 2020 through 2025. The project required me to study both the positive aspects and negative aspects together with security concerns and current developments in BCI technology.
The selection of brain-computer interfaces as my research topic stemmed from their fast-paced development, which promises to revolutionize human-computer interaction and global interactions. The technology of BCIs interested me because it enables people with disabilities who have ALS and paralysis to operate devices and send messages through their brain activity. The combination of BCIs being both captivating and vital made them an ideal selection for my emerging technology research.
Well, the real reason was because of gaming but that changed to include what is above
Users can operate devices and play games and type messages through non-invasive EEG-based BCIs, which detect their brain wave patterns. The technology exists today in homes and research facilities and rehabilitation centers for testing purposes. The project taught me about the fast progress of AI technology, which enhances brain-signal decoding precision, thus making BCIs more useful and dependable.
The slide "Latest News & Advancements (2022–2025)" from my project shows how BCI technology has experienced rapid development during this period. The slide presents information about wireless implantable BCIs and EEG systems for medical use and deep-learning system enhancements. The presentation shows how brain-computer interfaces move from laboratory research to real-world operational use. (Artifact source: my PowerPoint presentation)
The project needed academic sources for research but I needed to verify all information for both accuracy and current relevance. Emerging technologies like BCIs demonstrate significant social impact because they affect communication systems and accessibility options and ethical considerations. The assignment helped me improve my research skills and organizational abilities and presentation design skills by following the rubric exactly. The project showed that brain–computer interfaces move beyond science fiction because researchers continue to develop these technologies, which will become available to the public in the near future.
