# From where do I get local seeds?

# Collect seeds yourself when you are out and about in the countryside. Always limit the amount of seeds you collect so as to leave enough for nature to take its normal course.

# Just for your information, please note that some species and sites are regulated by law (see Legal Notice here)

# Make sure you collect seeds from plants of local origin to guarantee the local genetic pool since several trees have been imported from Sicily or other countries. Although the species would be similar, it would be genetically diverse so collect seeds from rather old trees / plants.

# DO NOT buy seeds through the internet.

# IF IN DOUBT, take a photo of the species you collected or intend collecting seeds from and place it on the G10T facebook group (click here to find link). Fellow members from G10T will give you professional and/or practical advice.

# Come and find us at public events which we attend to. By meeting face to face, we make acquaintances and will try to answer all your questions, when possible. Once you are there you can collect any of the seeds we would have with us.

# Post a self addressed envelope to the address shown in the Contacts Section and place a note inside stating what seed species you prefer (from the list below) and the quantity you can handle. For requests less than 200 seeds, a normal envelope (approx 23x11cm) would suffice. If you have any issues kindly send us an email (find the G10T email address here) or a private message on Messenger (find link here) and we will try to get back to you in the shortest possible time.
