Get involved

# how?

# Do you have the will to be proactive?

# Do you belong to a school, company or other entity and want to participate collectively?

# basic things you can do.......

# Start by joining the G10T facebook group here  and liking our facebook page. (press here to find contact links)

# Collect seeds yourself, or ask us for seeds (click here to go to the 'OBTAIN SEEDS' section)  and share with friends and family.

# Sow as much seeds as you possibly can.

# Grow your own trees and plants.  These can be used for yourself, and any extra ones can be donated for any one of our projects.

# Attend any of our events  and activities (see any of the G10T up-coming events by clicking here).

# If you have trees to donate, it would be best to attend the events and plant your trees yourselves. Otherwise you can donate the trees to us and we will nurture the saplings at the G10T nursery to hopefully find them a new home in an open field.

# And most of all, we urge members to be proactiveG10T alone cannot manage all the projects simultaneously, but with your help we can.  Liaise with the local authorities, schools, places of work etc. and manage a project yourself, and G10T will assist you.  Do not aim at big projects. Split a project over several seasons or years to make it manageable.  Give it a go!

# EMPOWERMENT- if we can do it, so can you!

# G10T cannot manage a large number of projects simultaneously, BUT with your help we can do it together.  If we can do it, so can you. We are not super-humans but common mortals like the rest.  We simply follow our dream!

# Sitting down and crying over spilt milk is not an option here.  Liase with entities to try to secure an area which can be planted.  Typical entities you can check on are schools, work places, local councils, central government, authorities, church institutions, car parks etc...in a few words, anywhere where you think that a tree or shrub can be planted.

# Discuss with the institution where trees/shrubs can be planted, who will take responsibility for watering, who will foot any expenses.

# Break down a project into manageable size. Don't bite more than you can chew.  Break down the project into smaller projects if necessary and spread over a number of years

# Make a list or ask online for help to list trees that would be ideal for the site in question.  We have numerous knowledgeable members within our facebook group.  Use them!  Give us the list so that we can source the trees/shrubs from the members.

# If you are stuck in the rut, or have any issues, talk to us so that we can guide you and maybe give you some tips.  Keep information flowing.

# Set a date with us for the event and go for it! We would help you as much as we can.

# Finally, make sure that the plants are watered for a minimum of 2 years and that everyone abides to the commitments promised.  Assess the situation as time goes by and make sure that everything is doing fine.

# The year after, do another phase or start a new project, or simply TAKE A BREAK!
