How you can help!

Our goal is to raise $35,000 in corporate sponsorship for this year’s competition and the help you provide would be greatly appreciated. The support of firms like yours will make this competition successful year after year.

The funds raised will help cover the following expenses:

● Teacher stipends to cover material expenses they incur

● Cash awards for winning schools

● Competition travel funds

● Other competition day expenses such as our catered lunch for 800, the venue reservation (McKimmon Center), team awards and medals, door prizes, etc.

With your donation, you are investing in the problem solvers of tomorrow:

As a former competitor myself, I can personally attest to the wide range of skills students gain through the competition. Competing in the North Carolina Regional Competition every year while I was a 6th, 7th, and 8th grader helped me learn more about not only engineering, but what it truly takes to plan a city. I can credit the start of what is now my professional career in Civil Engineering due to my involvement in the Future City Competition over 13 years ago. Every dollar you donate goes a long way in inspiring future thought leaders, and members of our professions.

How we recognize sponsors:

All sponsors are included in our competition day program and displayed prominently on signage on competition day. In addition, sponsors will be listed in all NC press releases. We anticipate an attendance of over 400 middle school students, 50 NC middle school teachers, 350 parents, and 120 engineering professionals. Due to the educational and community importance of the Future City Competition event, various media outlets - print and broadcast - have provided valuable coverage throughout the years. We expect the same this year as well.

Specific types of sponsorship provide additional opportunities for exposure. For example, sponsoring a specific specialty award related to your engineering area of focus ensures that students throughout the state will be talking about your organization in the weeks and months leading up to competition day as they prepare to win as many specialty awards as possible.

Thank YOU!

On behalf of the regional steering committee, and the Professional Engineers of North Carolina, we thank you for your support of the North Carolina Regional Future City program and competition.
