Everyone is a fan of something. Just like many other collectors out there, I like to collect things. I collect many things such as my favorite fictional characters as figures or the masks of some of my favorite horror characters. As such, with many companies that sell collectibles, I want to buy from the company that has the most variety and best collectibles. I eventually came across Funko Pops and they have since been the majority of the collectibles that I have bought. Everything about them is better than most collectibles for the price, if not all. These collectibles are on the smaller side allowing for more to fit into small areas which is important for collectors. Funko Pops are also inexpensive compared to competing brands allowing for them to be bought without the financial strain of other brands. Licenses are a big part of why people buy from a company and Funko has many licenses to offer. Funko Pops are the best collectible brand since they provide so many different characters, fit in small spaces, and are inexpensive.
As a collector, space matters, I need space to put my collectibles, if a collectible is too big, then having it might be a problem. Funko Pops on average are 4 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide, which is really small for a boxed collectible. When comparing this to one of the most popular collectibles in the world, Youtooz, which are about the same height as Pops, but about an inch wider. Having that little bit of extra space is really helpful when I'm trying to put a collectible on a shelf with many other collectibles. The affordability is also another aspect that Pops draw to many since they are cheap enough to buy while still maintaining great quality.
Prices are one of the most important things a collector has to think about. Someone like me who likes many things from Transformers to Attack on Titan will buy lots of collectibles. As such, price matters, so I want to find a low price collectible that's still high quality. The average Funko pop is priced around 10 to 15 dollars, and they are also high quality. Youtooz, a competing figurine brand is triple the price of Funkos and has less availability.
Finally, Funko has lots of licenses. These liscenses include Disney, Amazon, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Dreamworks, and DC. If I want a collectible from one of my favorites shows or movies, there's a very high chance that Funko Pops has the rights to that property. Funko has the rights to many new age pop culture icons, but they don't just get new licensed characters. They have the rights to characters that go as far back as 1938 with Donald Duck's 1938 version being for sale as well as the original Mechagodzilla, which debuted in 1974, being for sale. Funko has something for everyone, after all, everyone is a fan of something.Â
Overall, Funko will likely have your favorite characters, ranging from a multitude of different licenses, cost less than most figurine companies, and come in different sizes all for different buyers. These three reasons are why Funko is the best figurine company.
