Students from Mount Wachusett Community College conducted initial Abolitionist research and created a proposal for the Abolitionist Park.
The petition for the original park was presented by councilors and students, and clean up of the space began.
The "Friends Group" was created, and the original proposal was struck down by the city.
Three Pyramids, a minority representation agency, becomes the fiscal agent of the project and fundraising efforts begin again.
