It is important that from the beginning of the year you establish a communication routine. Parents need predictability and consistency. Whether this be a weekly newsletter, a monthly phone call, a daily post on Google Classroom with the homework for the night, parents need to know what your expectations are.
Build Trust
Like any relationship , a parent- teacher relationship is built on trust and open communication. Parents trust us with the care and the education of their children. As teachers it is important to build a solid foundation and to maintain an open portal of communication.
