🎯 Team Shooting Event Rules

• Format: The event uses a Team Shooting format.

• Targets: Each individual shooter will attempt 100 targets, but the Team Score is based on a single 100-target tally.

• Station Procedure:

  1. The first person on the team shoots the station.

  2. The second person on the team then shoots the same station.

Scoring

Scoring is based on the combined team effort, where a hit by the second shooter can "cover" a miss by the first shooter:

• Covered Miss: If Shooter 1 misses a target, and Shooter 2 hits that same target, it counts as a Hit for both on the team score.

  • Example: Shooter 1: XXXXOXXX (miss on 5th target). Shooter 2: XXOXXOXX (hit on 5th target). SCORE IS 8 (Shooter 2 covered the miss).

• Uncovered Miss: If both shooters miss the same target, the team score reflects the miss.

  • Example: Shooter 1: XXXXOXXX. Shooter 2: XXXXOXXX. SCORE IS 7 (Both missed the same target).

• Run the Station Bonus: If both team members successfully hit all targets at a station (XXXXXXXX for both), you receive a Plus One (+1) bonus point for that station, resulting in a SCORE IS 9 (8 targets + 1 bonus).

🗓️ Event Logistics

• Squad Structure: It is recommended to shoot with two teams per squad.

• Cost: There is no additional charge for this event.

• Provided Items: Each team will go to the clubhouse for a target card and cart

• Location: Quail Creek Sporting Ranch

• Date: January 18, 2026.

• Start Time: The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.

• Partners: If you are attending without a partner ("strays"), please let Dee know, there are some people looking for partners.
