Today Mission Director Leslie Reed met with several USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa) project participants to learn about their challenges and accomplishments as entrepreneurs. One of these participants manages Aqaba’s Lady of Peace Center for people with disabilities, which has developed a soap and cosmetic production project that employs young men and women with Down Syndrome. USAID is proud to work with partners such as the Lady of Peace Center and to provide them the tools, resources, and networks necessary to empower their businesses to thrive.
