Awareness is Power

Conclusion of the "Awareness is Power" project implemented by the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and the European Union Regional Trust Fund. The program succeeded in reaching approximately 67,000 people in Tafileh, Ajloun, and Mafraq, and trained influential health educators to raise awareness among local women about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Mass campaigns and innovative events were also implemented by the youth to disseminate health messages related to cancer prevention and early detection. The project resulted in three research studies that support cancer prevention efforts.
