In addition to the formal proposal review process, the MagNetUS organization is providing an New User Training and Guidance service.

This program will complement the review process by providing education and advice to students, new users, prospective users, and others who wish to learn more about the MagNetUS experiments prior to submitting a formal proposal. Those interested can arrange meetings with the designated MagNetUS Outreach and Education Committee, whose goals include lowering the entry barrier to magnetized plasma experimentation and promoting inclusion of a broader and diverse group of individuals in the collaboration. Based on discussions with the facility leads, arrangements can be made for prospective users to attend experiments at the desired facility. Access to previous experimental data is also possible, but should be granted based on formalized agreement with the prospective user.
